Work
How we think — and what we'd build for you.
Lumen Studio is new. Instead of showing you a portfolio of forgettable work, we'd rather show you our thinking — the kind we'd bring to your project. Below: concept projects we've designed to demonstrate our approach, our process for every engagement, and quotes from people we've worked with previously.
Concept case studies
Three concepts, each clearly labeled.
Designed to show how we think — not real client work. We mark every concept as such, on every screen.
Cairo Family Dental — concept rebuild
The brief
A multi-doctor family dental practice in Maadi struggling with paper-based scheduling and a website that no patient ever used to book.
Our approach
Lead with the booking flow. Treat the homepage as a triage tool — new patients vs. returning patients land in different rooms. Build trust with photos of the team and clear pricing tables, two things Egyptian medical sites almost never show.
Key decisions
- Booking moves to the hero — not buried in a sub-nav.
- Requests carry the doctor, service, and preferred window — with no second calendar to fall out of sync with the clinic's real book.
- WhatsApp confirmation, because nobody opens email reminders.
What we'd do next
Phase 2: live availability synced to the clinic's own book, a patient records portal, and reminder automations.

Skincare brand — built for the Egyptian market
The brief
A small local skincare brand selling on Instagram and shipping by hand. Wants its own store but has been burned by Shopify themes that don't take Fawry and don't respect the way Egyptians actually shop.
Our approach
Treat checkout as the hero feature. Fawry, Paymob and InstaPay surfaced equally with COD. Product pages built for screenshot-driven sharing. Inventory honest, not hidden — '5 left' is a more powerful nudge than any banner.
Key decisions
- Three Egyptian payment methods at parity with COD.
- Image-first product cards sized for sharing on WhatsApp.
- Order tracking page that doubles as a re-engagement surface.
What we'd do next
Phase 2: subscription bundles, loyalty for repeat customers, an Arabic-first content layer for SEO.

Restore Physio — multi-location growth concept
The brief
A small physiotherapy chain expanding from two clinics to five across Cairo and Alexandria. Needs a site that handles location-aware booking and a back-office for therapist schedules.
Our approach
Frame the homepage by location, not by service. Each branch has its own page with its team, hours and walking distance from the metro. Internal therapist tools share the design system but live behind auth.
Key decisions
- Location-aware booking: pick the clinic, then the therapist, then the slot.
- Therapist directory cross-linked to specialty filters.
- Lightweight admin panel reusing the same components.
What we'd do next
Phase 2: insurance integration, family accounts, post-session follow-up flow.

Process
The shape of every Lumen engagement.
Five steps. Same for a 7,999 EGP template build and a 150,000 EGP custom platform.

They were always easy to reach, and whenever we had a question they replied quickly. It honestly felt like they were with us the whole way.
— Clinic owner, Cairo
Everything was simple from day one. Payments and setup didn’t need any back and forth, which made things much easier for us.
— E-commerce founder, Alexandria
Even after everything was set up, they kept checking in. That part mattered a lot — we didn’t feel left alone with it.
— Service business owner, Cairo
